Broken heart - myth or reality?

A broken heart ... an expression so suggestive and common among young people that we never even wondered if it was just a metaphor or a medical condition.

"Love hurts" - a word that has been passed through the mouths of all people at least once in our lives, but we do not expect this spiritual pain to affect our health. When you are abandoned by your loved one, there is mental pain, which has many things in common with a physical one.

Following an experiment, the researchers concluded that suffering from love has a strong impact on the brain, which in turn is related to physical pain. At the same time, some studies on the brain show that the deprivation of romantic love triggers in the human body the same mechanisms that are triggered when drug addicts go into withdrawal. When we no longer have the "drug" with us, the subconscious chooses the method of memories to invoke the departed person. Addicts know they are addicted when they become infected, but people with broken hearts refuse to accept this.

Such pain has all the effects of conventional pain, which differs from person to person. These include insomnia, disturbing thoughts, and immune system dysfunction. A broken heart is a complex psychological wound, even if we do not interpret it in such a way.

What distinguishes this wound from a physical one is an element that, unfortunately, cannot be controlled, but the heart. When we have a headache we take an amelioration pill. But what do we do when our heart hurts and we are convinced that if we were silent, we would hear it shatter into millions of pieces? In such moments, the brain and the heart collaborate in a destructive way of the person. You cannot heal if you do not admit that you are hurt, and of course, we do not know if we are really hurt if we do not find a cause.

Also, the only remedy in such a situation is to focus on oneself and realize that we are the most important.

So, if you have knowledge that is going through this right now, support it with a lot of compassion, because they need it, and if you are the ones who suffer, remember: it is difficult, but time will make everything good.
